Advertisers can find their Funny Side with Acast

This is some text inside of a div block.

Press Release

From today, advertisers can buy into a new collection of podcasts called The Funny Side, exclusively through Acast.

The Funny Side is a brand new celebration of Acast’s best comedy podcasts and a campaign to see more female-led comedy at the top of the podcast charts. By working closely with a selection of female-fronted podcasts from the Acast Creator Network, Acast is supporting these podcasts in increasing their listenership, reach and revenue - and working closely with advertisers to celebrate the cream of comedy podcasts in the UK.

For this innovative campaign, all podcasts in The Funny Side Collection are packaged up as one mini-network. The revenue is then shared proportionally amongst each podcast based on the number of listens each podcast gets across the campaign. Additionally, The Funny Side Collection allows brands to align with the best comedy content in podcasting and showcase their support of underrated female talent. The goal is simple, Acast celebrates funny women through podcast advertising, diversifying brand audiences and promoting the best new creators.

The Funny Side collection includes Lou Sanders and her Cuddle Club podcast, Nobody Panic from Stevie Martin and Tessa Coates, the beloved Drunk Women Solving Crime, Transplaining with Edinburgh prize-winning Jordan Gray, Closet Confessions with Candice Brathwaite and Coco Sarel and WTB with Jen Brister, Maureen Younger and Allyson June Smith.

Acast has some of the best talents in podcasting across our global network of 92,000 podcasts. For The Funny Side, the Acast Creator Network team will be working closely with two giants of the comedy and podcast world, Katherine Ryan (Telling Everybody Everything) and Deborah Frances-White (The Guilty Feminist), to support the collection.

At Acast, we’re experts in finding new ways to make podcasts even more attractive to listeners and advertisers and, at the same time, amplifying women’s voices and new talent. Acast’s Funny Side Collection is a group of some of our most brilliant female-fronted comedy podcasts: some well-established, some brand new launches by top-tier talent. This initiative helps supercharge these shows in bringing together an attractive offering for advertisers looking to either take their first steps into the world of comedy or invest in supporting diverse talent.

The Funny Side Collection launches today, with a partnership and home-page takeover with Amazon Music. For more information on The Funny Side Collection, contact Acast (sales.uk@acast.com) or get in touch with your regular Acast contact.
