Acast Triumphs at the Inaugural Audio Advertising Awards
Last night, Acast emerged as the evening's biggest winner at the first-ever Audio Advertising Awards, an evening dedicated to celebrating the very best in audio from radio to podcasting. Hosted by the broadcaster Alex Zane and produced by industry behemoths Campaign, the ceremony was a gathering of the industry’s brightest stars and a showcase of innovation and creativity (that Acast proudly led!).
Acast's wins in four categories are a testament to our commitment to creative excellence, led by our global Acast Creative team. The awards also highly commended Eddie Scott, Director of Acast Creative, UK, in the Creative Rising Star category.
The wins in full:
Best Branded Podcast Episode - National Lottery’s sponsored episode of Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed helped raise awareness about the charitable causes that they support. Eddie and one of our Brand Partnership Directors Adam Gibson collected the award.
Best Social Strategy - Summer Baxter, who directs our other Brand Partnerships team, was on hand to collect this award for Acast’s work with Meta for its Whatsapp ‘Behind The Lock’ campaign.
Best Sustainable/Green Campaign - Our project for E.ON Next picked up the sustainability award. Summer and Eddie made a second trip to the stage to grab this one.
Finally, the big one - Best Advert - Transport for London (TfL) teamed up with Acast and the Homo Sapiens podcast to deliver an innovative advert designed to encourage bystander interaction with sexual harassment on public transport. The advert promoted a sense of community spirit and was expertly created by Eddie and Campaign Director Ellie Gregson, who collected the award. Eddie’s third trip to the stage during the night!
Jack Preston, our Global Head of Acast Creative, explains more about Acast’s night. “The awards reflect our innovative approach to audio advertising that resonates with audiences and delivers results for brands. These wins are a massive source of pride for us and a reassurance of our leadership in the industry.
Acast's wins across a diverse range of categories showcase our ability to craft compelling narratives and strategic campaigns that are innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible. This diversity of wins is a testament to our versatility and creativity in podcast advertising.”
