Acast Creative Honored with Industry Awards for Branded Content Productions
Press Release
Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company, has been crowned a Platinum Award winner of the Hermes Creative Awards for the Acast Creative production of Self., a podcast in collaboration with financial technology company Self Financial. The Acast team is also celebrating its position as a finalist in the Brand Entertainment Awards in the Branded Podcast category for Roundabout, an eight-part series presented by State Farm. These achievements recognize Acast’s creative vision and production for brand storytelling in podcasting.
“From the moment we began recording these podcasts we knew we had something special, but to be recognized by the industry is an incredible honor that speaks volumes about the power of podcast storytelling for brands,” said Shantae Howell, Executive Producer and Creative Director for the Americas. “From day one, our team believed in the impact of real and resonant stories because of the intimacy of the podcast medium. Self Financial and State Farm proved to be the perfect partners to bring these projects to life and having podcasters share their experiences and perspectives alongside everyday folks gave both new and longtime fans more reasons to love them and their stories.”
The Hermes Creative Awards are an international competition that honors work across both traditional and digital media. Each year the work is judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization that consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, and freelance professionals. As a recipient of this award, Self. and Acast Creative join a list of elite brand marketing teams from around the globe.
Self. is a six-part branded podcast series that harnesses the power of storytelling to deliver important, relatable messages about financial wellness. Each episode features a bespoke conversation between Money Mindset Coach Jacent Wamala and builders from across the country, including Ashley Frangie and Lety Sahágún of Se Reglan Dudas as well as Mack Wilds and Mouse Jones of Guys Next Door. These vulnerable conversations highlight each guest’s unique journey and relationship with finances.
Acast’s Brand Entertainment Awards finalist production of Roundabout was created as a way for insurance brand State Farm to form authentic connections with audiences and potential consumers through the power of storytelling. The series amplifies stories from the open road, captivating listeners with tales of life, friendship, relics like MapQuest, right turns, wrong turns, and so much more.
The Brand Entertainment Awards are in their inaugural year and are presented by CampaignUS PRWeek and MM+M and showcase the unique and interesting ways that brands tell their stories across a variety of platforms. Winners will be announced live at the Brand Entertainment Awards ceremony on June 6 in New York City.
