The Best One Yet Partners With Acast & Appoints GM To Lead Media Expansion

This is some text inside of a div block.

The Best One Yet, the leading daily pop-business news podcast with over 80 million lifetime downloads (including 40 million since its 2022 spinoff from Robinhood), has entered into a multi-year, exclusive strategic partnership with Acast.

The deal will see Acast manage exclusive global distribution and ad sales rights for the audio podcast and video simulcast.

The Best One Yet podcast was co-founded by Nick Martell and Jack Crivici-Kramer in 2018, acquired by Robinhood in 2019 (where it was known as Snacks Daily), and spun out to be 100% owned by Martell and Crivici-Kramer in 2022. After over 1,600 daily episodes and winning a Webby Award for “Best Business Podcast,” The Best One Yet has established itself as a morning staple for millions of listeners, making business news entertaining through its signature combination of pop culture and financial insights.

“With The Best One Yet, Nick and Jack have defined a new category of business news in podcasting” said Yishai Seidman, Senior Development Manager at Acast. “Their ambitious expansion into video and live touring aligns perfectly with Acast’s own omnichannel strategy - proving that great stories can find audiences and advertisers wherever they live. We are perfectly poised to help them scale their influence, reach even more audiences, and turn advertising partnerships into genuine connections.”

In addition to the new partnership, The Best One Yet announced major operational updates to support its rapid expansion beyond audio:

Live Momentum: In December, the brand announced its "IPO Tour  (In-Person Offering)" for 2026. The initial four shows (New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Arlington, VA) sold over 50% of their tickets in the first two weeks. As of today, the Austin and Los Angeles dates are officially sold out, signaling massive demand as the tour expands to seven cities and validating the company's expansion into live events.

Executive Leadership: To drive this next phase of growth, the company has appointed Mike Muney as its first General Manager. Muney will spearhead business operations and revenue growth, with a specific focus on accelerating the brand’s expansion into video and live events. A veteran of the creator economy, he brings over a decade of experience in content and talent monetization, having previously led partnership divisions at Moment (acquired by Patreon) and Yahoo, following his tenure at Spotify.

"In 2007, we were assigned as college roommates. Then we started a side-hustle outside our bank jobs, committed to a full hustle, sold to a Unicorn, and then spun off after that Unicorn’s IPO—the full entrepreneurial spectrum," said Nick Martell, Co-Founder. "But seeing our 'IPO Tour' sell-out in major cities proved that The Best One Yet has evolved from a morning ritual into a massive community. Bringing Mike on as GM and partnering with Acast allows us to scale our magic further, onto YouTube, live events, and other new ventures."

"We’ve spent years building trust with our audience by being authentic with our natural chemistry, laughter, and friendship," added Jack Crivici-Kramer, Co-Founder. "This expansion isn't about changing that DNA; it's about amplifying the brightness our show brings to our 'Yetis' and 'Besties,' as our audience calls themselves. Acast and Mike give us the infrastructure to take The Best One Yet from a show to a ubiquitous media brand."

Nick Martell and Jack Crivici-Kramer are represented by UTA, who negotiated the deal.
